My garden is growing!

I have been watering, pulling weeds and checking everyday! I have flowers on my green pepper, hot pepper, eggplant, tomato and cucumber plants ----yay!!!! The cilantro is growing like crazy too! It is so nice to go out into the yard and cut fresh herbs for hot salsa!!

Besides tending to my garden, I have been working on some art ---here is the piece I made for my mom for Mothers day-----she had a decorative plate on a stand on the piano and it broke, so I decided to make her something.

Memorial day

Thanks to all our troops past and present who keep this country free! My family has done their part too ---My uncle Artie was in the Navy, My dad was in the Army, My grandfather was in the Navy, my cousin, Pat, was in the Navy, my second cousin, Stephen, is in the Air Force, and my son, Marc, is in the Marines!

We bought a new American flag to hang on our pole since the other one was so tattered - We need to get another Marines flag and am thinking of getting flags for the rest of the armed forces to display on my lovely front lawn.

Hope you are remembering our men and women in the armed forces today!

Rain, Rain go away......

I have had enough of this rain! Of course when it is scorching hot in June, we will be praying for the rain! Our backyard is a lake, see pics! I wonder how the folks in Seattle handle it? Well at least it keeps me in the house, I am working on a mother's day gift for my mom--oooh it's gonna be awesome, I hope! Going back to creating...enjoy the pics!
