End of January already????

Wow how time flies when you're having fun!!! I have been busy hosting a candle party, working on my craft room, making cards, and working at that job that pays the bills!! It has been a fun month even though it went by so fast!! Here are somethings that I have worked on - I still have a ton of things to do, like get Marc's Marine scrapbook done and my friend Jeremy's wedding album done.

I mentioned I hosted a candle party, well let me tell ya - I had some great sales and was able to get a load of really nice things! I will try to upload some pictures for you to drool over of the candle items I bought!! I am going to have another party in either April or May, it was so much fun to do!!

Today is supposed to be in the 60's - Allen and I are going to put things in the attic so we can make room for our freezer - so nice to have friends ----They wanted a treadmill and we wanted a freezer so we traded!!! Great way to recycle things so they don't end up in the dump forever!!!

Not much going on, been busy at work - trying to get motivated to make cards!

Boy, I have been busy.....making cards, rearranging my craft room, working..........

One of my things to do this year is to get organized! I have so much paper, stamps, embellishments, ribbon ( you get the idea)!! I got rid of my computer armoir and replaced it with a 6 foot table! My room looks so much larger without the huge computer desk, now I just need to get hubby to build my shelves for my stamps and get the other goodies in some organized state.

Looking forward to 2009!

WOW! I am so glad 2008 is over! Allen and I had a rough ride this year and looking forward to a new start in 2009!




I have been reflecting on what 2008 brought:

1) Surgery
2) Stroke
3) Diagnosis of MS
4)New house
5) Back to work
6) Creating!

I am thankful my #2 & #3 items were not completely disabling, of course it was months of rehab that helped and my darling hubby who helped get me back on my feet!! While I have my moments of ah what's that word or being tired, I am truly blessed to be able to go back to work and still make cards, scrapbooks, etc....Of course the weeks in the hospital were tough, friends and my mom, sister and daughter were there to encourage me. Allen is there too, he has been really great, sometimes I wonder why he does what he does- I am thankful he loves me the way he does!

What do I want for 2009? Ah so many things....

1) For my health to either stay the same or improve - do NOT want another hospital visit this year!!

2) Expand my creative horizons, reach outside of my box!

3) Really listen to people when they speak to me

4) Take more interest in the environment and what I can do to keep it "green"

5) Spend my time wisely

6) Make myself more interesting - I think I am boring sometimes

That's the short list, I am sure I will be adding to it as far as personal expectations for myself!

This is the first day of new beginnings and personal growth!
